Hi, I’m Chef Naya, the creative force behind House of Cuterie!
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, I’ve had a deep love for cooking for as long as I can remember. My passion started in childhood, experimenting with flavors and creating dishes that delighted my family and friends. By the age of 16, I had already honed my culinary skills in the kitchen, sparking what would become a lifelong commitment to food artistry.
I furthered my passion by enrolling in the renowned culinary program at Florida State College at Jacksonville, where I graduated with a deep understanding of the culinary arts, perfecting techniques that would later shape my career as a chef. But the real magic happened unexpectedly in November 2020, during a time when the world was navigating the challenges of the pandemic.
A friend invited me to be part of her fashion show as a vendor and asked if I could create a charcuterie board for her event. Although I had never made one before, I love challenges and am always eager to expand my skill set. With COVID-19 concerns in mind, I decided to put a unique twist on traditional charcuterie by presenting individual grazing plates so guests could simply grab-and-go, minimizing contact. The response was overwhelmingly positive.
During the event, one of the guests in attendance suggested that I start offering grazing boxes after seeing my thoughtful pairing of flavors and presentation. Inspired by her encouragement, I went home with leftovers and crafted my first charcuterie box for my mechanics—and that’s where the “charhistory” began!
What started as a one-off event has since blossomed into House of Cuterie, a business dedicated to curating exquisite charcuterie boards, grazing tables, and artisanal boxes that elevate any occasion. My mission is to bring people together through food, offering handcrafted, artfully arranged bites that are not only delicious but a visual masterpiece.
Whether it’s an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, I’m excited to share my passion for creative cuisine with you—one beautifully designed board at a time!
